New UTASLTA board

UTASLTA is a state professional organization of American Sign Language and Deaf studies teachers and affiliated chapter of American Sign Language Teachers Association. Our mission is to provide a local presence, bring national attention to regional needs and improve the quality of ASL instruction via professional development, increased awareness and advocacy. UTASLTA promote official recognition of ASL as a language, professional quality in ASL/Deaf Studies teaching, provide members of professional development related to ASL/Deaf Studies teaching, and provide input into National ASLTA's standards and procedures for ASL/Deaf Studies Teaching. UTASLTA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by the generosity of members and donors.
